Wolverine Peewee C's defeat Grand River Mustangs
The Wilmot Wolverines played host to the Grand River Mustangs in a battle for third place in the division. The Wolverines were down 1-0 in the first period but got on the board with an unassisted goal from Katie Martin. They would pull ahead with another goal from Martin (assisted by Kamryn Lamond and Madison Stainer-Mace). Wilmot would add to their lead in the second period with a goal from Taryn McIntyre (assisted by Ella Fleming and Leah Wagler). The Wolverines would lead 4-1 after an unassisted goal by Kate Baumgart, the Mustangs would counter with 2 goals but Wilmot held on for a 4-3 win.
This win moves the Wolverines into third place in the division and the team will be traveling to Orillia to take part in a tournament this coming weekend.
