Four point weekend for The Peewee C's
The Wilmot Wolverines are back in second place in their division after a successful weekend.  The team played host to Stoney Creek and Grand River on Saturday and Sunday and were victorious in both games.

The Wolverines found themselves down early to start their Saturday game versus Stoney Creek with the Sabres scoring 1:08 into the first period. Leah Wagler tied the game at one in the first period with assists from Morgan Stock and Katie Martin.  Taryn McIntyre lifted Wilmot into the lead with just 3.6 seconds left in the period (assisted by Katie Martin and Maddie Stainer-Mace). After Stoney Creek tied it in the second Wilmot took the lead for good thanks to two goals by Katie Martin with assists from Stainer-Mace and Julie James.  Final score, 4-2 for the Wolverines.

The team carried the momentum from their Saturday win into their Sunday game against Grand River as Ella Fleming was the first to strike (assisted by Julia James).  After the Mustangs scored to tie and take the lead, Kate Baumgart tied the game again in the first minute of the third period.  In her first career start as a forward Avery Vance got the assist on Maddie Stainer-Mace's game winning goal in the 3-2 win for the Wolverines.
