Peewee C's beat 1st place Hericanes in exhibition
The Wilmot Wolverines Peewee C team travelled to St. Clements and took on the undefeated Twin Centre Hericanes in exhibition action.  Wilmot started strong in the first period with aggressive play in both ends of the ice and were rewarded when Leah Wagler scored (assisted by Katie Martin) and put the team up 1-0.  Romy Van Rooyen then gave the Wolverines a two goal lead when she scored (assisted by Kate Baumgart). Twin Centre scored to get within one goal but the Wolverines held on for a 2-1 win.

The Wolverines had a limited line-up in this game due, in part, to injuries to Morgan Stock and goaltender Gillian Knarr. The coaching staffs on both teams agreed to make the game an exhibition match after the Wolverines were unable to secure a goaltender and used one of the two Hericanes goalies. Knarr has been cleared to play and will be in the net in Tuesday's game against the Waterloo Ravens.
