On the Road to Kitchener
The Wolverines played their second game in three days tonight against the Lady Rangers. This was a key game for the team and they needed a win. Michaela Baker was in net again for the Wolverines. Alisha is out with an ankle injury. The first two periods of the game were back and forth with lots of hustle and forechecking. Neither team was able to score and at the end of the second it was tied 0-0. Early in the third the Wolverines opened up the scoring with a goal by Kirsten Bolding assisted by Rachel Gruhl to lead the game 1-0. Not too long after on a nice draw by Alana Miller, Hailley Norman passed across the ice to Emma Caswell who blasted it from the blue line and caught the goalie off guard. The Wolverines were leading by 2-0 but there was still 8 min left in the game.

The girls were determined to secure the win so they kept hustling, passing and forechecking. Michaela made some key saves late in the game. Kitchener had their goalie pulled near the end of the game but the Wolverines held strong. The game ended 2-0 for us with Michaela getting the shut out. Way to go girls! They take on the Stratford Aces tomorrow at home at 3:30. This will be their third game in four days. Go get'em Wolverines! Make us proud!
