Semi-final Game of the Jason Cripps
Tonight the girls played a hard fought battle in the semi-final game against the Stratford Aces. The game was penalty filled. Alisha Layton was in net and had many great saves to keep the Wolverines in the game. It was tied 0-0 at the end of the second period. The third period was a back and forth match and the Wolverines managed to kill off a 5 on 3 penalty situation. However their luck ran out with 2:47 left in the game when Stratford scored on a scramble in front of the net. The Wolverines continued to fight and the goalie was pulled and they skated until the final buzzer. Unfortunately they lost 1-0 but they have proved that they are a team to be taken seriously in the second half. Great job girls!
