Tough Games for Wolverines
The Novice B Wolverines pulled off two decent games with a tie against the Grand River Mustangs 1-1, and a win over the Woodstock Wildcats 3-1.  In the game against Grand River, the girls played very aggressively and worked hard.  Jenna Kumpf scored the solo goal with an assist from Paige Carter.  Again, the defense was solid as Maddie McCormick, Jayden Calder and Alisha Latyn covered for a team mate not feeling well.  Terrific hustle by Paige Jurica, Lauren Bast and Sierra Egli.  The Wolverines share the same record with the Mustangs and the teams are battling for top place.

In the game against Woodstock, with a player out ill, the Wolverines called up Sydney Knorr to fill the spot.  Sydney had an incredible game and earned two assists on goals scored by Emily Hussey.  The third goal was scored by Madison McCormick with assists from Lindsay Slessor and Mikayla O'Connell.  McCormick also had an assist on Hussey's first goal.  Great goaltending by Kara Mark and great skating by Carson Weiler.  Wonderful to have Kayla Schenk back in the line up.
The Wolverines will take a break from league action which resumes January 10th, and wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
