Wolverines Back on the Run
The WIlmot Wolverines Novice B girls were on fire against Brantford with a 9-0 win on the weekend. All offensive lines contributed to the scoring and the defense was outstanding. The girls worked hard on different lines to cover for an absent team mate. Kara Mark saw little action in net, but stopped some 'would be goals' if it weren't for her tremendous skill. Jenna Kumpf had a hat trick, and two assists, for a five point game. She is a dedicated player and gives 100% every shift.
Other scorers included: Emily Hussey, Madison McCormick, Lauren Bast, Carson Weiler, Mikayla O'Connell and Kayla Schenk with her first goal of the season. Assists were awarded to: Lauren Bast (3), Lindsay Slessor, Paige Carter, Sierra Egli, Kumpf (2), and Hussey. Excellent skating and tough play at the blue line by Jayden Calder and Alisha Latyn. The Wolverines will have a tough game this Saturday against Woodstock. Go Wolverines!
