On the road to Fergus
The Wolverines took on the Grand River Mustangs on Saturday. It was our first game with a full squad and the girls took some time to adjust to the new lines. With Baker in net they were hungry for a win. Unfortunately the Mustangs got two goals in the first period and things were looking bleak for the Wolverines. However Rachel scored a goal with an assist by Kirsten. Things were looking up! Then the Mustangs scored again to lead 3-1. The girls fought back to score again this time by Kirsten assisted by Rachel and Abigail.
We were only down by one and the girls were skating hard. Unfortunately the Mustangs scored again to lead 4-2. Despite putting in a great effort the girls couldn't pull off a win. Their next game is at home Monday @ 6:00 against the Cambridge Roadrunners. Go get 'em girls!
