The Wilmot Wolverines Novice LL2 team took part in the Kyla Kowalik Tournament this weekend. Game 1 of the tournament was a match-up of the two Wilmot Novice teams. Both teams brought their A game for this inter-township matchup. Ada Bender and Claire Weinacht each scored two goals and that was the difference in this game as the Wolverines LL2 team would post a 4-0 win in game 1. To see Raelyn Cook's post game comments
click here.In game two the Wolverines faced the Kitchener Pandas. The Wilmot team put together another impressive win in this game. A hat trick by Claire Weinacht, two goals by Ada Bender and Tori Burchatzki’s first goal of the season would lead to a six 6-0 victory for the Wolverines. Aziza Pringle recorded the shutout and Audrey Montag, Olivia Patte and Ada Bender recorded the assists.

Wilmot LL2 would face Twin Centre in the final game of the round robin. Kasey Livingstone was in net for this game and would back stop the team to their third straight shutout. Two goals from Ada Bender and Faith Appleton along with goals from Emmie Fronchak and Claire Weinacht added up to another 6-0 victory for the Wolverines. After going 3-0 in the round robin the Wilmot Wolverines LL2 team would get a spot in the finals where they would once again face the other Wilmot team. The Wilmot 1 goaltender pushed aside many scoring chances and both teams played great a great game but two goals by Ada Bender and a shutout by Juliana Baptie would lead to a 2-0 Championship win for the LL2 Wolverines. Strong defensive play by Faith Appleton, Olivia Burns, Emmie Fronchak, Raelyn Cook, Kasey Livingstone, Aziza Pringle, Emily Friendorf and Juliana Baptie helped to keep the opponents off the scoreboard without a single goal scored against in the tournament.
