Novice LL2 Mid-Season Review
The Novice Wolverines have had a great season so far! In regular season play, they amassed a record of 10-0-0 that would put them in a first place tie overall with a team from Cambridge - taking first place based on Goals For %.  In accomplishing this feat they scored 53 goals (2nd overall in the league) and a league leading 6 goals against thanks to back checking from the forwards, tight defensive play and timely saves by the goaltending!

In November, there was a team potluck hosted by Coach Dan and his family allowing team members and their families alike to get to know one another better and promote team building at the same time.

The team participated in two tournaments up to the turn of the calendar year.

In November, they participated in the North Halton Twisters tournament in Milton.   In 3 round robin games (all against host teams in our pool) they would have 23 goals for (tournament leading for all divisions) and 5 goals against!  In the semi-finals they played a tough team from St. Catherines, but would shut them out 3-0 to advance to the finals.  The team would eventually lose to a team from Oakville 3-0.  Coaches and parents were all very proud of the team for their efforts and it was a great weekend for everyone at the tournament and the hotel/pool experience.

In December, the team participated in the Jason Cripps tournament in Kitchener over the Christmas break.  They finished first overall in their pool after round robin play with wins over Woolwich, Cambridge and Grand River.  They eventually would lose in the semi-finals against Kitchener in a shootout.

Special thanks to everyone who have helped organize the various events over the course of the season so far.  It has truly made the season something the girls will remember for a long time!
