The Novice LL #2 Wolverines improved to 6-0-0 in a road game on Saturday November 15th with a 4-0 shutout win over Cambridge Grey.
Some of the highlights included:
- Aziza P. got a shutout in her first attempt playing goalie.
- Points were contributed by Claire W., Olivia B., Kasey L., Emmie F. and Ada B.
- Emily F. and Tori B. both registered their first points of the season in the game.
- Faith A., Paige Y. and Bronwyn B. all had chances during the game to score.
- Juliana B. registered our first penalty of the season for tripping (and preventing a potential breakaway) in the 2nd period.
- Claire W. was awarded the first penalty shot of the season for being hauled down on a breakaway - she narrowly missed on an attempted deke.
- The shots on goal were not recorded for the game, however, the Cambridge goalie played very well as approximately 90% of the game was played in either the neutral zone or the opponent’s end.
The team gathered post game at Coach Dan’s for a Potluck party.
The team travels to Milton this Friday for participation in the North Halton Twisters Fall Classic tournament November 21-23.
