Wolverines Working Hard
The Atom C Wolverines are working hard and continuing to improve each time they step on the ice. With illnesses circulating, the team has had to depend on Sydney Knorr and Olivia Lichti to help fill the bench, and both girls have provided outstanding effort for the team. In the last three games, the Wolverines have suffered two close losses and a tie, but all against B rostered teams they cross over with, within their loop. The Wolverines are inching closer to beating a B team, and it is just a matter of time.
Brianna Arends, Leah Wagler and Tia DeRuiter have been providing tremendous offensive opportunities for the girls, and Carson Weiler has turned up her game. Weiler is strong both offensively and defensively; with her quick skates and great hands, she is becoming a rushing force, and is cashing on some goals. Madison Stainer-Mace is getting stronger on the puck. Great defensive moves by Kate Baumgart and Julia James who are starting to gain confidence by firing the puck at the net from the blue line. Alisha Latyn continues to improve her net-minding skills as well. Good luck to the Wolverines as they take on Twin Centre and Woolwich this week. Go Wolverines!
