Atom C, U11, 2012-2013 (Wilmot Girls Hockey)

Congratulations to the Atom C Wilmot Wolverines as they had a spectacular weekend at the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League Championship and secured the gold medal.  The team defeated the Twin Centre Hericanes in a nail biting overtime win 2-1.  Maddie Stainer-Mace fired in the overtime game-winning goal in the tilt and the Wolverine fans were ecstatic.  

A tough tie versus the Brantford IceCats ended the Provincial hopes of the Wilmot Wolverine Atom C team as the game ended 0-0.  Brantford, Twin Centre and Wilmot all tied with 8 points in the round robin series, but due to tie breaking procedures, Twin Centre will take the provincial spot in Ottawa come April.  The Wolverines wish the Hericanes good luck on their venture.

Congratulations to the Wilmot Wolverine Atom C team as they defeated the Twin Centre Hericanes 2-0 on the weekend.  The Wolverines now sit with three wins and a tie in their Provincial play down run.  The girls will head to St. Clement this Wednesday to play their second game against the Hericanes in the round robin series for a Provincial spot in Ottawa.

The Atom C Wolverines had an early morning tilt in Brantford and were able to leave with a tie 1-1 after a hard-fought battle on the road.  Brantford took the lead early on, and Wilmot had to work hard to come from behind.  Their determination, and perseverance shooting at the net paid off in the end.

The Wilmot Wolverines Atom C team has a win in the column in Provincial play downs as they defeated the Woolwich Wild 3-0 this past week.  The Wolverines are in a round robin rotation and the top team will head to Ottawa in April.
