Atom LL's Reach Semi Finals in Jason Cripps Tournament
The Atom LL's participated in the Jason Cripps Tournament and finished second in their pool, earning them a spot in the semi final match.

In their first game of the tournament, the Wolverines faced the Kitchener Bobcats. Kitchener took a 1-0 lead in the second period. But, the Wolverines evened the score in the third with a nice goal from Veronica B., assisted by goaltender Eva C. The game finished in a 1-1 tie.

Later the same day, the Wolverines matched up against the Ayr Rockets #2. The Wolverines were able to get a few on the scoreboard with Rachel E. scoring in the first period and Jessica B., from Veronica B. and Maeve C., in the second. The Rockets were able to pick up 4 goals, giving them the win.

Game 3 turned out to be an action-packed game against the Kitchener Stingers. The Stingers took an early 2 goal lead with two goals scored in the first period. The Wolverines picked up one goal in the second with Grace B. firing a great shot. The Wolverines tied the score late the third with a goal from Madison D., from Julia P. and Veronica B. and were then able to take the lead with a goal from Rachel E., from Grace B., and Sykora W. Shortly after, the Stingers answered back, resulting in a nail-biting last minute of play. With 35 seconds remaining, Madison D. scored unassisted to give the Wolverines a 4-3 lead. The Wolverines showed a lot of intensity throughout the three periods and this proved to be one of their best games in the tournament.

In the final game of the round-robin, the Wolverines met the Grand River Mustangs #1. This game ended in a 0-0 tie, with goaltender Eva C. collecting the shut-out. With some help from their earlier nemesis, the Ayr Rockets #2, the Wolverines finished 2nd in their pool, earning them a spot in the semi-final game the next day.

The Wolverines' opponent in the semi final game was Cambridge White, who has finished first in the other pool. The Wolverines got off to a great start, scoring 2 goals in the first period. Goal scorers were Madison D., from Maeve C. and Veronica B. and Veronica B. from Madison D. However, for the remainder of the game, Cambridge proved to be a strong offensive force, answering back with 8 goals. Eva C. made some tremendous saves, facing quite a few shots from Cambridge but unfortunately the Wolverines ended up with the loss.

The Wolverines will participate in the Kyla Kowalik Tournament Jan 9-11th and will begin the second half of their regular season on January 17th against the Milverton Royals.

Unfortunately, that was all the Wolverines could put past the Cambridge goaltender. Cambridge answered back with a total of 8 goals
