Wolverines Win Against Waterloo
The Novice LL Wolverines picked up their first win of the second half in a game versus the Waterloo Warriors #3.
The Wolverines came out skating and did and excellent job of keeping the puck in the Raven's end for much of the game. There were some good scoring opportunities, but the game remained scoreless through the first period and most of the second period.
Late in the second period, the Wolverines were able to get one past the Raven's goalie. Scoring for the Wolverines was Rachel E., assisted by Sykora W. and Maeve C.
Rachel E. added another goal in the third period, assisted by Kasey L. The Wolverines held on for the rest of the game and ended up with a 2-0 victory. Shut-out went to Eva C., who played great in net, as always.
The girls demonstrated some great skating skills throughout the game, as well as some great passes. Grace M., Kya G. and Megan P. showed some speed, while Kasey L. Isabelle B. and Olivia B. made some great defensive plays. Emmie F. and Raelyn C. played hard. Ada B., Maeve C., and Sykora W. did some great digging to keep the Raven's from gaining control of the puck. Great work by all! The girls are also showing improvement at changing on the fly!
