Novice LL's Show Strong Defensive Effort in Loss
The Novice LL's faced a tough Waterloo Ravens #1 and some difficult ice conditions today but came up short in a 1-0 loss.
The Wolverines showed a strong defensive effort and were able to keep the Ravens off the scoreboard for most of the game.
Eva C. made some spectacular saves throughout the game. Our defense played an excellent game today as well, with some key stops at the blue line to prevent scoring opportunities for the Ravens. Today's defensive team consisted of Olivia B. Emmie F., Claire W., Kasey L. and Maeve C. The Wolverines were also able to kill off a penalty without allowing a goal.
The Ravens scored late in the third period to goal ahead by 1. The Wolverines fought hard right until the end. We had some great scoring opportunities throughout the game but unfortunately were not able to get one past the Ravens goalie.
The Wolverines don't play again until January 25th when they face the Woolwhich Wild for the second time this half. Next Saturday they will take part in a Meet the Waterloo Warriors hockey game.
