Novice LL's Play Well in Jason Cripps Tournament
The Wolverine Novice LL's played some excellent hockey in the Jason Cripps tournament this past weekend.
In their first game, the Wolverines faced the Grand River Mustang's #1. The Wolverine's scored one goal in the first and another in the third and came away with a 2-1 victory. Scoring for the Wolverines was Rachel E., unassisted and Claire W. from Rachel E. and Kya G.
On Saturday the Wolverines came up against the Waterloo Raven's #2. Waterloo was able to get on the board early. However, the Wolverines played hard all game and were able to tie up the score in the third period, with a goal from Claire W. Neither team scored again and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
In their third game, the Wolverines played the Cambridge Roadrunners Teal. The Wolverines were able to keep the Roadrunners off the scoreboard, with Eva C. earning a shut-out. The Wolverines scored two goals for a 2-0 victory. Scoring for the Wolverines were Isabelle B. from Grace M. and Sykora W. and Rachel E. from Kya G.
Eva C. played excellent in all three games, allowing only two goals the entire tournament.
The Wolverines ended up tied in points with the Waterloo Raven's #2,but fell just short of making it to the semi-finals.
Great work girls! You showed some great teamwork and worked really hard in all three games we played. Congratulations on an excellent tournament.
