Atom LL's Lose Home Opener
The Atom LL's played their first home game Monday night against the Woolwich Wild.
The Wolverines were excited to play their first game in front of the home crowd and started the game with a lot of energy.
Through the first period, the Wolverines and Wild looked fairly evenly matched. The Wolverines had a few early chances to get on the scoreboard, but the Wild goaltender was able to keep the puck out of the net.
Late in the first period, the Wild managed to get the first goal of the game.
Wolverines goaltender Kasey L. did her best to keep the puck out of the net, and stopped many shots from the Woolwich team. Unfortunately, the Wild continued to show their offensive strength and collected 5 more goals to take the win.
The Wolverines look forward to bouncing back from the loss, in their next game versus the Waterloo Ravens #2 next Monday night.
