Double header and team party this weekend!
A big thanks to the Lucan Irish 'C' team for coming down to the WRC on Tuesday night and playing a great fun game! Though we were down by 5 after two period's, it was nice to see some push back in the third scoring three times and goaltender Abbey Luckhard standing tall and the team shoring up the defence.
The Wolverines welcomed the Irish for the first of a home at home series, playing a team outside the Kitchener girls local league. Though the result is not what we expected, it was good to see our players matching this team stride for strideThe Irish came out fighting and provided the Wolverines a taste of what's to come as they prepare for the always tough Waterloo Ravens. The Bantam Wolverines are making the final push of the regular season, as they prepare to play both Waterloo Ravens team this weekend, with four valuable points on the board and a playoff position in the 'A' pool on the line.
A team party has been planned for after the game on Saturday. Thanks to the Fronchak's for hosting! Be sure to bring something good to eat to avoid getting on Santa's naughty list. ;)
Good news this week! Katie Kneisel has been cleared to resume skating and we are hoping that she will be able to resume playing with the team soon.

The Jason Cripp's tournament schedule will soon be released. It appears that they are waiting for the final few games to make a determination/ranking of teams for the four pool's. A look at the Bantam schedule on the Kitchener Minor Hockey site show's games starting on Thursday Dec 27 at noon, running through Sunday Dec 30 at 3:15 pm for the final. The games are being played this year at the Don McLaren, Grand River and Kitchener Aud Complex.
