The Wolverines welcome back players!
The Snow's Appliance Bantam Wolverines finally received some good news with the return of several roster players last weekend who had an immediate impact for the team. Rattled with a series of illness and injuries that spread out for nearly three week's, the Wolverines came back strong against the Stratford Aces in a solid 4-1 victory!
Both Cass Schmidt and Kira returned to the lineup after a couple week's away from the game healing from concussions. Cass would end up taking player of the week honours for her constant back check effort and hard work in practice. Two goal efforts by Jess Leiskau and Cass Vankalsbeek propelled the team to the win.
Another hard week of practices, including off ice at the New Hamburg arena of cardio, passing drills and a full out floor hockey game was followed by the team's first party afterwards. Thanks to Manager Cheryl for organizing the pizza and drinks!
The Wolverines welcome the Road Runners from Cambridge on Tuesday night @ 9pm, as well an exhibition game next Sunday at 6 pm vs a powerhouse team this season, the Kitchener Mustangs.
