Fundamentals, 2012-2013 (Wilmot Girls Hockey)

Look forward to seeing Wolverine Siblings, related Wolverines staff or Ladies Fundamentals along with our young Coaches to play with our Fundamental girls. Thanks for a great season!

Our last session will be Tuesday March 26. We have 4 sessions left: Saturday March 16, Tuesday March 19, Saturday March 23 and the session on the 26th. We look forward to seeing everyone at the remaining times.

Our last Rookie Game is this coming Saturday Mar 2. We have also arranged mixed scrimmages (Fundamentals mixed with Novice aged players on balanced squads) with the Novice House League team for one or two Tuesdays or possibly a Saturday in March. More information to follow as to the dates of these scrimmages. This will be an opportunity to assess those players that could potentially play at the Novice level next year should space be available. Many of the girls will be Novice aged next year but some Fundamental aged girls may be able to play Novice if space is available and their skills ...

We are now approaching the time of the season when most Saturdays until early March will involve home or away Rookie games. The players are doing a great job of participating in these fun games. On the two Saturday mornings where we play away from the WRC, we will not have hockey at home at 11:30 on those mornings. On Tuesdays we will continue to work on individual skills for the most part. We may have a couple of inter-squad scrimmages mixing Fundamentals with Novices on Tuesdays later in February and in March. Although we do not have hockey on Christmas and New Years day, we will have hockey on the next few Saturdays. Dec 29 and Jan 5 hockey will be at our normal 11:30am time. On Saturday Jan 5, we will run the entire time as a practice rookie game after a 15 minute warm-up in preparation for our first official rookie game on Sunday Jan 6. Happy Holidays
