We are now accepting 2024/2025 Head Coaching Applications for Tier 1 and Tier 2 rep teams. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, February 7, 2024.Interviews for coaching will be held from February 12 to February 16, 2024. Interviews will be scheduled in-person.Head Coaches will be announced by March 22, 2024 and tryouts will begin April 23, 2024.
We are looking for head coaches for the following teams:
U9 Tier 1
U11 Tier 1
U13 Tier 1 and Tier 2
U15 Tier 1 and Tier 2
U18 Tier 1 and Tier 2
Senior Tier 1
COACHING APPLICATION PACKAGE REQUIREMENTS
The following must be sent to the Director of Staff Certification (staff_certification@wilmotgirlshockey.com)by the deadline for use by the Coach Selection committee:
1. Coaching Philosophy: An outline of the principles you would call upon to coach a hockey team at the level you have applied for.
2. Yearly Plan: An outline of the expectations of the team in terms of skill development, team tactics and team systems development, as well as a rough season calendar. Please include an example of three practice plans.
3. Budget (tentative): A rough estimate of the anticipated costs associated with yourproposed plan. Sample templates can be found here if desired.
4. OWHA Certifications Obtained: A print screen of your Hockey Locker from Spordle confirming all certifications and courses you have obtained. See Team Staff Qualifications for complete information on what is required when applying to any position.
