The Wolverine Girls earned 2 wins over the weekend using high-scoring offence. Saturday saw the Wolverines skate past Woodstock by a score of 8-3. The girls got up bright and early Sunday morning to travel to Cambridge where the Roadrunners awaited their first match-up. The girls were in for a huge surprise during the 1st period as the referee made the season's first icing call. Once the confusion settled down the girls put the puck in the net 5 times as they beat the Roadrunner 5-2. Michelle and Emily S. had strong games in goal over the weekend. The Wolverines travel to Woodstock next Saturday for a rematch against the Wildcats.

The U9 Wolverines travelled to Woodstock this Saturday to take on the Woodstock Wildcats in their first-ever full-ice game. The Wolverines had 3 lines ready to go with Malia taking the teams first-ever faceoff. Avery opened the scoring while Haley, Malia and Clara also scored. Michelle was solid in net and held Woodstock to only 3 goals while Regan earned the player of the game honours. The Wolverines play at home next weekend vs Woodstock.

The Wolverines held the Yellow vs Blue scrimmage just before their annual Covid Lockdown. A large capacity crowd watched as the Yellow squad beat the Blue squad by the score of 3-1. Haley had 2 goals and Emily S. had one for the Yellows while Malia scored the lone goal for the Blue team. The Wolverines will now take 3 weeks off before resuming their schedule playing full-ice hockey for the rest of the season.

The Wolverines travelled to Kitchener today to take on the Kitchener Lady Rangers at Sportsworld arena. Avery and Haley opened the scoring while Catina(pictured above), Malia, and Ariana added more. Brooklyn and Emily S(pictured above) were the goalies today while Michelle won the player of the game honours. The Wolverines look to keep their tie streak going next weekend as they travel to Woodstock to take on the Wildcats.
