Recap
Hi Families,
I just wanted to recap what I covered in the parents meeting tonight at practice. For those of you that couldn't make it to practice, no worries, I just had a quick parents meeting to share some information/reminders which I have included below.
1. Just a reminder to please make sure the girls hair is tied back, out of their eyes. (Tonight's practice was much better and I don't think any girls complained about hair in their eyes so thank you!)
2. Please fill out the medical form and return to me or Erik over the next week. If you need one, please see me on Saturday.
3. Please make sure the girls arrive with enough time to get fully dressed and have gone to the washroom ahead of getting dressed.
4. We will play games after Christmas with neighbouring centres which will be cross ice (half ice). Score is not kept during these games and shift change happens every 2 minutes with the buzzer. We have a large group this year which is great so as long as the other centres can match our numbers, we could take our entire group and have 2 games occurring at the same time. If the other centres have less girls, we'll have to split the girls up into 2 different teams to play games. All girls will get equal opportunities to play the same number of games.
5. The date of the Firebirds game is January 26, 2018 so please mark this on your calendars! This is a lot of fun for the girls to play during the first intermission and get a tour of the Firebirds change room. All Wilmot Wolverines will receive a free ticket to get into this game as it's sponsored by Wilmot Girls Hockey Association accountant, Charles Seebach.
6. If you haven't responded to the initial Anti-Spam email that was sent out a few weeks ago to all email addresses that were entered upon registration, please do so as soon as possible.
7. Practices will be run to develop the girls' skills through a variety of drills and circuits. The girls will be the coaches/trainers responsibilities while on the ice and on the bench. They are in great hands so please do not worry. If there is a situation where the parent is required, someone will come and get you. Parents are not permitted on the bench due to insurance reasons.

and on the left hand side click on Fundamentals, and then Fundamentals 1. I have and will continue to post any news/information I send out via email. This is a great resource to use if you can't locate an email or have deleted it. You can also subscribe to the page if you would like.
