After a very successful regular and playoff season the
Wilmot Wolverines Novice B team will compete in both the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League Championship
tournament and the Provincial Championship
tournament over the next two weekends. The team played in a division that included the Waterloo
Ravens, Woolwich Wild, Guelph Junior Gryphons, Cambridge Roadrunners and the
Grand River Mustangs. They had a 15-3-4
record which saw them
tied for first place in points,
but a tie breaker (total wins) would land the Wolverines in second place.

The Wilmot Wolverines Novice B Team closed out their regular season with an offensive win against
the Waterloo Ravens. Wilmot would take the lead early and continue their
offensive threat. Wolverine’s defense
kept the Ravens at bay without a shot on net.

The
Wilmot Wolverines Novice B team traveled to Whitby this past weekend to take
part in the Tournament of Heroes. The team was in tough in game one as
they took on a strong Durham West Team. Wilmot would take the lead in the
first with a goal from Maeve Turner (assisted by Jaden Greenlee). The
Wolverines took another lead in the third period but the game would end in a
tie as Durham West scored in the dying seconds of the game to earn a 2-2 tie in

The Wilmot Wolverines Novice B team played host to the Woolwich Wild this weekend. The team played another strong game offensively by racking up 5 goals and the defence and goal tending posted a shutout in this 5-0 game. For in-depth post game analysis

The Wilmot Wolverines Novice B team will see plenty of action this weekend as they take part in the Whitby Tournament of Heroes. They hope to continue the success they recently saw in the Waterloo Raven Fall Challenge Cup where they brought home the championship.
