On Sunday, the Wilmot
Wolverines Novice B team played host to the 1st place Cambridge
Roadrunners. In their first meeting this
year, Cambridge dealt Wilmot their toughest defeat of the year posting a
9-2 score. The Wolverines would redeem themselves this weekend as they
came out fast and strong. Wilmot took an
early lead and were up 4-0 in the second before Cambridge cut the lead in
half with two quick goals. Two goals would be
all the Roadrunners could accomplish as some outstanding saves made by the
Wolverines goaltender and great defensive play kept the puck out of the
Wolverines end for most of the game. Offensively, the Wolverines kept
pressure on Roadrunners with great fore checking and many chances. In the
end, the Wolverines would chalk a couple more points on the board making
the final 6-2.

Wednesday against Guelph.
