Playoff game #2
Much better effort tonight. We were skating stride for stride against a good Grand River team who last time out handed us one of our worse defeats of the year. We will see them again the second week of February, and I have a feeling that he result will be victory.
Congrat's to Ashley who showed some good hustle back checking and working the high F3 position very well tonight!
Our next two games come quickly, this Saturday and Sunday at 1 pm.
Saturday at Conestoga College Doon campus vs Kitchener Thunderbirds
Sunday at Don McLaren arena vs Waterloo #2
Ice time is at a premium this time of year as teams ramp up for the playoff's. We have been offered practice on Sunday January 29th after our game at 6 pm. This will be our only practice before the Stoney Creek Tournament.
A site visit has been made of the Best Western in Stoney Creek. It is a fine hotel, with a great swimming pool, an excellent on site restaurant, and less than 5 minutes away from the Mohawk 4 Ice pads on Mountain Brow Rd. On last check, the hotel has only 4 room's left so if you have yet to book, you would be best to do so immediately if you plan on staying overnight.
