Wilmot Wolverine Peewee LL’s Win Silver at the Jason Cripps Tournament!!
This tournament was a breakout moment for this team of girls. Special mention needs to go out to their goaltender, Sequoia Pringle for her outstanding performance all tournament.

The Wolverines started the tournament with a tough 7-2 loss against the Waterloo Ravens. Both Wolverines goals were scored by Mackenzie Prang, with assists coming from Cassandra Honderich and Victoria Clark.

Game 2 against the Ayr Rockets was the girls first official win of the season with a 3-2 final!! It was an intense game for the fans in the stands. The Wolverines were down 2-1 heading into the 3rd period but Victoria Clark was on fire and scored two in the third making it a hat trick game for her.

Game 3 versus Kitchner Lady Rangers Red was another nailbiter, with the Wolverines fighting to a tie of 1-1, with a goal by Mackenzie Prang.

After their round-robin games, the Wolverines finished second in their 4-team pool and moved onto the semi-finals against the Guelph Gryphons. The semi-final game proved to be another intense game for the fans, with the Wolverines taking an early lead in the first with a goal by Chiara Byrde, the first goal of her hockey career! But Guelph tied it up before the end of the first period. Midway through the second the Wolverines scored the go ahead goal and they were able to hold the lead all the way through a tough third period. The girls were going to the Finals!!

The Wolverines met up once again with the tough Waterloo Ravens team in the Championship game. After the first period Waterloo was up 1-0, after a couple follow up goals in the second and three more in the third, the girls were down 6-0 but continued to show determination all the way to the end.

Wolverines fans proudly saluted their team, as the girls were awarded the silver medal.
