Novice B, U9, 2012-2013 (Wilmot Girls Hockey)

3rd Tournament Gold for Novice B Wolverines It was an action packed weekend for the Wolverines as they brought home the Gold in the Annual Walter Gretsky Tournament. The girls played the Waterloo Ravens and won 3-2. The girls played fought hard and it paid off. Some great passes from Sarah Schnarr and Mikayla O’Connell helped Jadyn Calder score a hat trick.

 Game one of the playoffs ended with a win for the Novice B Wolverines. The score ended in a 2-1 win over Kitchener. The Wolverines dominated the game and played well as a team. Paige Jurica scored our first goal for the team and Mikayla O’Connell scored in the third period with under a minute left in play. Strong Defence from Bella Davidson, Sydney Chapman, Rayne Bowden and Jadyn Calder! Way to go Wolverines!

 It has been a great year for the Novice B Wolverines. 15 wins, 1 loss and 6 ties placed them in second place for the West Division. The girls are skating faster, their shots harder and many first goals for the girls this season. Now playoffs to playoffs-the team’s goal is to make it to Provincials in April and play their best. The end of season brought some tough ties against some strong teams and finally a win to break the streak! Rayne Bowden scored her first goal and was cheered on by her teammates! The Novice B’s brought home the GOLD this past weekend in the Annual Kitchener Fall fest Tournament! The first game against the Ancaster Avalanche brought on a tough loss for the Wolverines. They succumbed to a 2-1 loss. Lone goal scored by Sarah Schnarr.
