Welcome & Introduction
Hello New & Returning FUNdamental Wolverines & Families,
My name is Allyssa (I may otherwise be known as Halle's mom) and I will be managing the FUNdamentals girls hockey this year in Wilmot. Erik King (Kali's dad) has stepped up this year as Head Coach for the group and Troy Chessell (Emily's dad) is the Assistant Coach. We are excited to get the year started and for the girls to have a lot of fun while learning and developing their hockey skills. If at any time you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.
There are some items I wanted to communicate in anticipation of hitting the ice on September 23rd at 12:30pm.
1. The equipment required for the girls to be on the ice includes: Skates, shin pads, jill (girl's version of a jock), hockey pants, elbow pads, shoulder pads, neck guard, gloves, mouth guard and helmet with a cage or visor, hockey stick and a labelled water bottle. You can get a mouth guard fitted by a local dentist for a fee or most sports stores carry cheaper ones that you can fit at home - please make sure to get a small enough one.
2. All of the girls will be receiving new Timbit jerseys and socks. I will be distributing these on September 23rd as the girls come into the arena for their first ice time. Please make sure you come to the arena to allow for enough time for your daughter to pick a jersey and get fully dressed. (I will be there for 11:30)
3. We have a few of last years staff returning but will need some more on ice helpers. If you are interested in helping on the ice, please email me back as soon as possible.
4. As mentioned above, our first ice time is September 23rd at 12:30pm. Our regular ice times will be Tuesdays at 5:30pm and Saturdays at 12:30pm.
4. The email address I have on hand for each family is the one to which this email has been sent. If you would like additional email addresses added, please let me know. I will be sending out email communications throughout the year to provide various information however; I am also looking into using the Wilmot Wolverines website to post team news/information in addition to our schedule.
