What a weekend from this group — full heart, full hustle, and a whole lot of fight 💛💛
The tournament kicked off with a dramatic 2–1 comeback win over Waterloo, capped by a clutch late goal. The girls carried that momentum into game two, battling back once again to earn a 4–2 comeback victory against Stratford.
Heading into Day 2, the focus was clear: get out in front early and set the pace. The team delivered in a big way, rolling to convincing 5–0 and 3–0 wins over Guelph and Huntsville to close out the round robin undefeated.
In the semifinals, the girls faced Huntsville once more and put together another strong, composed performance, earning a 3–1 win to punch their ticket to the finals against Kincardine.
The championship game was a tight, hard-fought battle. After two scoreless periods, both teams left everything on the ice in the third. Despite an all-out push and relentless effort, the girls came up just short against a strong Kinucks squad.
While the result stings, this tournament showcased the team’s resilience, belief, and never-quit mentality. A lot to be proud of — and to build on moving forward.
