Coach Ian joins the U11 Tier 1 Wolverines with years of experience at the minor hockey level across various age levels and skill sets. Most recently, he was the Head Coach of the New Hamburg U14A team. Throughout his journey, Ian has honed a player-centered approach that emphasizes both development and fun, where young athletes can thrive and build their passion for the game.
He understands the importance of creating a motivating and structured atmosphere that balances hard work with enjoyment, ensuring players stay engaged, excited, and inspired to improve. Believing that hockey is not just about winning - Ian focuses on growth, resilience, and learning the value of sportsmanship. He fosters an inclusive and positive team culture, aiming to not only help his teams become better hockey players but develop strong, confident athletes who are equipped with skills that will last both on and off the ice.
"My goal is to make sure that we build a foundation of success for our Wolverines, both individually and as a team, while maintaining a love for the game. We will celebrate our wins, learn from our losses and work hard each time we hit the ice. Let's go Wolverines!" - Coach Ian
