Finding Our Groove!
The girls have been working hard on finding their groove as a team. Things are coming along nicely - we really do have a great group of girls who enjoy having fun and working hard.
We've had two games since our last article.
Our most recent game that was played on Sunday November 6th was a tough loss of 1-0 to the Woolwich Wild. The girls never gave up and had several shots on goal in the 3rd period but just couldn't get it in the net.
We played the Kitchener Lady Rangers Blue on October 29th. We left with a well fought battle and a 3-3 tie. The girls learned to keep fighting as they entered the 2nd period down 3-0. We finally got our first goal on the scoreboard in the 2nd period as Rachel Ellig dropped one into the net.
Madison DeJong tied us up in the 3rd period with two more goals - assists from Molly Friendorf and Hannah Rector.
The girls were quite proud of themselves for never giving up and pulling together as a team.
We look forward to our upcoming tournament in a couple of weeks!
Great job Wolverines!
