Try Girls Hockey: Esso Fun Day
The Wilmot Girls Hockey Association will be hosting another Try Girls Hockey event this year. Esso Fun Day is a
free event that takes place Saturday, March 26, 2022 and this year it will be run by players and staff.
Ice time is from 1:30 – 5:30 pm with off-ice activities to follow most age groups at the Wilmot Recreation Center. Girls and women from ages 4 to 104 are invited to participate.
Ages 4-7: On-ice 1:30, Off-ice 2:40
Ages 8-12: On-ice 3:30, Off-ice 3:40
Ages 13+: On-ice 4:30, Off-ice 5:30
Each player will start the day on ice for an hour to give girls a feel for what it's like to play hockey, followed by some off-ice activities and refreshments. Each ice time is an hour in length followed by 45 minute of off-ice activities. In addition, WGHA executive members and coaching staff will be available to answer any questions.
We invite all current Wolverines to come out and bring a friend if they know someone wanting to try girls hockey. Pre-registration will be required by both current Wolverines and any friends that are interested. Please click here to register. We will be accepting registrations right up to March 25, 2022.
