Wolverines COVID update
Submitted By WGHA on Tue 12 14, 21
With the recent increase in COVID cases across the province and the varying reactions from local sports associations, the WGHA has carefully reviewed the information available to us at this time. As follow-up, this is to provide communication to our membership about the current stance we are taking as an association.

The WGHA sees the importance of giving our players the chance to participate in sports activities due to the many physical and mental health benefits. At this time we are going to continue with our sports activities. We will continue to focus on offering a safe and healthy environment and remind participants to be mindful of the protocols put in place by the OWHA, public health, and the township. We will continue to follow public health guidelines and will react to any changes in these guidelines in the future.

At this time we do suggest an increased focus on the use of masks by our coaches and players. Tomorrow we will be providing surgical grade masks for coaches to use in all hockey settings. These masks will be placed in your locker in the equipment room.

COVID PROTOCOL:
If you test positive or are notified as being a close contact of a positive case, please wait for direction from public health and ensure you notify your coach as soon as possible.
