Rep Team Tryout Registration is Now Open
Submitted By Kal Deep on Sunday, August 8, 2021
Registration for tryouts for our Wilmot Wolverine Rep teams is open online.

Tryout registration is now available here. Tryouts will begin on September 7th as this is the first day the ice will be available at the Wilmot Rec Centre.

Tryouts for the teams below will begin on the week of September 7:
U13BB
U15A/BB
U18A/BB
Senior B

Second tier competitive teams are expected for U13, U15, and U18. Players wanting to play for second tier competitive teams will have to attend tryouts for the top level team in their age group before the start of second tier tryouts.

Tryouts for the two teams below will begin on the week of September 13.
U9
U11BB/B

These age groups are starting a week later to ensure we are in compliance with Hockey Canada's Player Pathway guidelines. These teams will have four on-ice sessions before the start of tryouts.

Permission to Skate and Releases

OWHA has approved Permission to Skates.  WGHA players wishing to obtain a permission to skate must complete this on-line form.

The WGHA will only issue Permission to Skate forms for levels higher than are being offered by the WGHA. In order to get a Permission to Skate form, the player must register and pay for tryouts for the WGHA.

It is the WGHA policy to approve player movement when the player is moving to play at a higher level than what is being offered by the WGHA. Releases may be evaluated by members of the WGHA Executive. The WGHA reserves the right to deny a release if it is deemed to be detrimental to a WGHA team or program. In the case of a parent disagreeing with a decision made by the WGHA, an appeal will need to be made by the affected parent to the OWHA.
