Return to the Ice and Raffle Update

With Waterloo Region moving into Control Red status the Wilmot Wolverines Girls Hockey Association will be able to return to the ice following OWHA and township protocols.  The township has told us that the Wilmot Rec Complex could be ready for our return as early as February 22nd.  Under the OWHA protocols for control red, we will only have practices at the WRC and won't be using the Plattsville Arena.  Because of the loss of ice in Plattsville and the reduced number of players on the ice per practice, we will be offering each team one practice per week. Ice times will be updated on the association's online calendar when we have received confirmation of ice times from the township.

OWHA Protocols can be viewed at the link below:

Under Control Red, players will be allowed to return to the ice for practices and,
after a review of our budget, we won't be asking for a third payment installment under these restrictions.  If the region moves into Restrict Orange we can return to game play.  At that point we would review our costs and budget to see if a third installment is needed.

Raffle update
Players are being asked to return their raffle tickets to their coaches or managers during their next ice time.  We will arrange to get the tickets back from the teams and make the draws in early March.  All of the winners will be posted at the same time.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the rink!
