Wilmot Area Life Donation Awareness (WALDA) is a grassroots advocacy group in our township that is dedicated to increasing organ and tissue donor registration rates. By sharing personal stories and partnering with community organizations, WALDA has been instrumental in raising the local donor registration rate to over 56%, making it one of the highest in the province.
Each year, some of the proceeds from the annual Kyla Kowalik tournament are donated to WALDA to continue the drive to increase donation awareness in our community.
