Congratulations Peewee LL2 on a GREAT Performance in Owen Sound!
Peewee LL2 brought their absolute best to Owen Sound this past weekend, finishing first in the round robin with an impressive lead in goals scored!
Our girls faced some very tough competition, but in spite of trailing 2-0 for two periods in their 3rd game, they came back strong to WIN that game 3-2!
Every player gave her absolute best, and coaches couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome! These girls showed grit, heart, and depth that nobody even knew they had. It was a huge turning point for our team, led by our capable captain, Rowyn. The scoring was balanced, the defense was tight, and the net was well guarded at every single game.
Finally, after 4 straight wins (and one very decisive 13-0 blowout), the girls faced their biggest challenge yet: A rematch with the Burlington team that had us on the ropes in Game 3! Spirits were high, and the play was hard and fast, but in the end Burlington took a 2-1 victory to continue on to the finals. Everyone was so proud of the way the Peewee LL2 team played!
