November is World Diabetes Awareness Month.
The Peewee A's are honouring one of their goalies, Kara, this month, who is a Type 1 Diabetes warrior!
The girls are all wearing blue skate laces this month, to support Kara. This idea was borrowed from the New Hamburg Huskies Atom A team, who is doing the same thing, to honour one of their teammates.
As well, to recognize Kara's fight with this daily battle, the team is making a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
