Hello Wolverines & Families,
Happy New Year! Now that we're into January in our season we will begin to play games with some neighbouring centres and of course we also have the Firebirds game.
GAMES
I have secured 6 game times with other centres and we have split the girls into 4 teams in order to give each girl equal opportunity to play. During each game only 2 teams will play, outlined below in the schedule and the following team lists. If your daughter can not attend any of the games she is scheduled to play please let me know ASAP so we can ensure we have another player fill that spot to make a full team. If your daughter falls ill the morning of a day in which there is a game she is scheduled to play (unfortunately this has happened more often than you would think!) please email me or text me
(226-748-3168) as soon as possible.
All of the games scheduled at the Wilmot Rec Centre are during our
Saturday ice times. This means that if your daughter's team is not scheduled to play, there will not be hockey for her that
Saturday. The girls are welcome to come and cheer on their teammates or enjoy the weekend away from the arena. We have some of last years Wolverines jerseys that we will be using for the games and will be randomly distributing them to each girl in the change room prior to the games and collecting them after the games.
FIREBIRDS GAME
The Firebirds game is January 26th at 7:30pm. Each player will receive a ticket for free admission into the game. All other family members will need to pay admission. Our girls will play a 10 minute game (team 1 vs team 2 & team 3 vs team 4) during the first intermission. The girls should probably go to the dressing rooms at approximately the 10 minute mark in the 1st period to begin getting dressed for our game.
It is important that the girls are dressed and ready to go on the ice upon completion of the 1st period. Make sure you listen closely to the announcements as the girls names/numbers will be announced upon entering the ice. We have already assigned colours/numbers to each team& player for this game, as shown below.
