Team Philosophy:
- This is recreational hockey and our goals for the season are safety, skills development, and fun. We want our players to learn about sportsmanship and giving their best effort, to improve their skills, and develop a love for hockey that will bring them back for years to come.
- Players will learn about respect: for themselves, for their teammates, for their coaches, for their opponents, and for the officials
- Our “team” is comprised of players, coaches and parents. We all need to work together for a successful season
We have a small team, the advantage of this is that there will be lots of icetime for everyone, the downside is that players unexpectedly missing games can easily cause us to forfit.
If you are not going to make a game, we need to be notified via email with enough notice to make alternate arrangements
Format of the email address to notify coaches will be distributed once it is setup by the executive
Trainer Notes:
· Clean water bottles will be provided for games. Girls are asked to bring their own bottles from home for practices.
· Have a look at your daughter’s equipment to check for wear and proper fit. Check helmet for a good fit loose screws.
· Medical Forms need to be completed and handed in to one of the trainers ASAP. Please talk to one of us if there is a serious medical issue.
Dressing room Expectations:
· There will be no cell phones in the dressing rooms.
· No boy friends, girl friends or parents in the dressing rooms.
· There will be no slanderous talk to or about fellow teammates.
· We are asking that players are ready to be on the ice 15 minutes before practices and games so that we can go over the practice or game plan or game line up. In the event that you are not ready and dressed at the time that the coaches are to come in before a game or practice, you will be asked to wait until the coaches are done talking, before you can resume getting dressed. If you are not ready to go when the team is you will finish getting ready, and then wait until the next stoppage in play before being able to enter the game.
Any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact myself or any member of the coaching staff
Thank-you
