Midget Wolverines MB are off to Provincials
The Stitch Graphix Midget B's have once again made it to a Championship weekend in April in this our tenth anniversary season!  Last year the second and third year ladies of this team, advanced to the Final four LLFHL Championship weekend and represented the Wolverine family well!
This year with a healthy crop of first year players filling the void.  They battled hard during the month of February in a gruelling five team home at home Ontario Womens Hockey Association Playoff.  On Tuesday evening at home, they secured the second seed as our regional representatives in the coveted tournament that runs April 6th-9th in the GTA...

They did so by knocking off their rivals, the Waterloo Ravens in a solid defensive gem of a game that ended in a 0-0 draw.  That one valuable point earned was the difference needed to knock the Ravens out and send the Wolverines on with a 5-1-2 record.

The victory was sweet this time around as the Ravens were responsible for knocking out the Wolverines in the first round of league playoffs, a series that saw both teams take it to the limit and needed overtime in the final game to determine the winner.

Excellent teamwork, attention to defensive responsibilities and commitment to practicing our team strategies have paid off and will continue to do so as we represent the Wolverine family in Toronto next month!

The coaching staff are proud of all you and what you have so far accomplished this season.  The sky's the limit at the year end tournament!  Let's go Wolverines!
