Road Tripping Weekend
The Wolverines were on the road this past weekend with back to back games in Guelph and Stratford. On Saturday they faced off against the Guelph Gryphons at the Exhibition Arena. Baker was in net for the game. Despite being short three players the Wolverines played well. There was no score at the end of the first but the girls were determined to put an end to that. They scored twice in the second with goals by Alana Miller, assisted by Victoria Clark and Hailley Norman, and Kirsten Bolding assisted by Rachel Gruhl and Ravynn Livy. The Wolverines led 2-0 at the end of the second.

They went on to score again in the third with a goal by Victoria Clark assisted by Alana Miller and Morgan Bard. However Guelph came back to score one late in third. The final score was 3-1. The team played a great game and should be proud of their play!
On Sunday the team faced off against the Stratford Aces at the Rotary Complex. Latyn was in net for this game. There is some rivalry between these two teams and the game was back and forth and intense. There was no score at the end of the first period. Stratford scored in the second to lead 1-0 heading into the third. The Wolverines battled back to tie it up with a goal by Victoria Clark assisted by Kirsten Bolding and Hailley Norman. The teams kept battling to break the tie with a back and forth game. Late in the third the Stratford team managed to score to pull ahead 2-1. The Wolverines played right to the buzzer trying to get back the tie but ran out of time. The girls played hard and are playing great hockey. Our next game is at home on February 22 against Central Perth at 7:30. Good luck girls!
