Atom LL's Wrap Up Season
The Atom LL's finished up their season this week with some great hockey, against two of the strongest teams in their pool.
Early in the week, the Wolverines hosted the Woolwich Wild in their fourth meeting of the season. The Wolverines showed tremendous improvement from earlier match up's against the Wild. With some amazing goaltending and a strong effort by the entire team, the Wolverines were able to keep the Wild off of the scoreboard in what would be the first time the Wild have been shut-out the entire second half of the season. The Wolverines came close to taking the win but despite some great shots, the puck could not find the back of the Wild net and the game ended in a 0-0 tie.
In their final game, the Wolverines travelled to Ayr to face the Rockets #2 and again played hard the entire game. Wolverines' Maeve C. was able to pick up one goal for the Wolverines, assisted by Emmie F. Unfortunately it was not enough against the strong offensive skill of the Rockets, who claimed the victory.
Congratulations Atom LL Wolverines! The exceptional teamwork and skill development shown by each and every player made for a spectacular season and we look forward to seeing everyone at the rink again next season!!!
