Atom LL's Reach Semi Finals in Stoney Creek Sweetheart Tournament
The Atom LL's had another successful tournament showing in the Stoney Creek Sweetheart Tournament held Feb 5-7.
The Wolverines played 3 round robin games, winning 2 and losing 1 before advancing to the semi finals.
Game 1 was a 1-0 win against the Lakeshore Lightening, with Faith A. picking up the games only goal. Game 2 was a commanding 7-0 win over the Oshawa Lady Generals Sharks. Goals scorers in that game were Maeve C. with a hat trick, Selyna B., Faith A. and Kya G. Assists went to Ada B. and Emmie F. (2). Game 3 turned out to be a 1-0 loss against the Stoney Creek Sabres #2, however the Wolverines advanced to the semi finals due to finishing second in points in their tournament pool standings.
The semi finals game ended up in a 5-0 loss against a very strong Woolwich Wild team. However, the Wolverines played well the entire game, and the score did not reflect the tremendous effort shown by the entire team.
