Wilmot Wolverines Novice LL#2 Claim Their First Victory of the Season!
On
Saturday October 10th the Novice LL#2 team upset the Cambridge Roadrunners
White with a 1-0 victory played on the opponent’s home ice!
It was an intense game that remained scoreless throughout the first two periods of play. Mid-way through the third period, however, the Wolverines’ forwards hit their stride. The girls came together as a team passing the puck well and were supported by a strong defense who kept the Roadrunners’ scoring opportunities to a minimum. Those two factors enabled Samantha Wright to push the puck across the goal line and make it 1-0 Wolverines.
Emerie Leonard played a solid game in net. Supported by the efforts of her teammates she kept the Roadrunners off of the board and earned the shutout.
Novice LL#2 Play the Grand River Mustangs 1 in Fergus on Sunday October 18th.
