Events for the New Year including Firebirds
I hope everyone has had a Merry Christmas and an enjoyable Holiday Season.
The new year brings some exciting events. We will be splitting the group into two even teams (1 and 2) for the fun scrimmages against other centres.
We have four games scheduled with Woolwich and we are still waiting to hear from a couple of other centres regarding home and away scrimmages. At least one other centre is interested but they have not confirmed their dates. We will try to get these confirmed as soon as possible in the new year. These scrimmages are fun with 2-3 minute shifts on a buzzer and no score recorded. Also Friday January 29 will be the Firebird's game where our group will play for 10 minutes between the 1st and 2nd periods. All players get into the game free and a tour of the "Bird's Nest" is provided. This event is always a lot of fun.
