Goal Posts are the Difference in the Peewee BB Season Opener
The Peewee BB Wolverines started off the season with a strong showing but fell short against the West Huron Wave on Sunday. Wilmot dominated offensive zone time and shots on goal but despite hitting the goal post four times and numerous other scoring chances, the team could not find the back of the net. The goaltending duo of Mare Prober and Gillian Knarr paired up for a strong outing only allowing one goal between the two of them. The Wave added a late empty net goal to bring the final score to 2-0 for the Wave. After the game Wolverines Coach Roger Kehl said he was very pleased with the team's effort. The Wilmot Wolverines Peewee BB team will face the Woolwich Wild in their next game on Saturday, October 11th. That game will be televised on Rogers TV as part of Wilmot’s World Women’s Hockey Day event.
