After a very successful Clarington tournament, our coached have been working very hard with the girls during added practices. We had our first post tournament game on Sunday October 26 againgst a very good Grand River Mustangs team.
Our Wolverines came to play with key players such as Bella Davidson and Sydney Petzke out of the line up. The mighty Wolverines were setting the tone early with great play at both ends of the ice. Our defence anchored by Rayne Bowden and Emma Schweitzer made some great rushes to keep the Mustangs guessing. Our offence was led by some great chances by Mikayla and Sarah and strong efforts by all in the offensive zone.
In the end it was a hard working goal by Paige Jurica late in the third period that sealed the win along with spectacular goaltending by Kaitlyn "The Wall" Robertson.
You can see the hard work is paying off and these girls are coming together at the right time and showing how TEAM IS SUPPOSED TO PLAY. Awesome job girls!
